Knights of Columbus St. John XXIII parish to host third annual charity golf tournament
FORT MYERS, Fla. (August 16, 2023) –The Knights of Columbus from the St. John XXIII parish will host their third annual charity golf tournament on Friday, October 27 at the Forest Country Club at 6100 Club Boulevard in Fort Myers. This year marks the return of the event since the aftermath of Hurricane Ian precluded the fundraiser in 2022.
Since its inception in 2020, the event has raised more than $7,000 for charitable causes. Everyone in the community is welcome to participate, and sponsorship levels start at $100.
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. with the golf scramble shotgun start at 9 a.m. The entry fee is $125 per golfer which includes lunch and an award ceremony. Lunch tickets are also available for $30. For information or to register, visit www.kc23.org or call Larry Evener at 407-986-0851.
Funds from the golf tournament will benefit local not-for-profit organizations including Golden PAWS Assistance Dogs, Hope Hospice, Special Equestrians, St. Martin De Porres Outreach and other local charities.
